My husband, my parents and I stayed at the B&B Saxa Rubra for 7 nights on May. We had a wonderful stay in Rome! Although, this house is located outside the immediate city of Rome, the close metro and bus stops made it very easy to get to any place of interest we wished. It’s only 15 minutes from important Popolo square and from here it’s possible visit all monuments and archaeological area of the city.  It was also very interesting to be riding into the city of Rome with the locals. It was a learning experience in and of itself. The owners and their daughter were very friendly and helpful. They supplied a map and gave us directions to major places. They recommended a travel agent from whom we bought our train tickets. They also recommended places to eat in the nearby vicinity. There are many typical good and cheap restaurants ( two under the B&B ). The room, bathroom, kitchen, and living room are very clean and the air conditioner worked very well. Our bed was comfortable. I would recommend this accommodation especially for the price, breakfast, particularly furnishings and I would definitely stay here again when in Rome.

Four family members and I stayed at this location – Bed and Breakfast Saxa Rubra Roma - for three nights and unanimously agreed that it was our favourite accommodations for our entire two week vacation. Our hosts were friendly and helpful in all aspects - arranging airport shuttle, providing directions to a Laundromat, offering pointers for our tours, even bringing us a larger coffee pot when my aunt professed that she loves coffee. The breakfast was wonderful. It’s good and cheap place to stay in Rome ..which I would definitely recommend.I recommend this hotel for:Girlfriend getaway, Young People, Older travellers, Families with young children, Families with teenagers, Tourists, businessman
